Floral Swags

A swag is similar to a wreath; however, it lacks the defined, circular shape of a wreath. Adding sprigs of holly and pinecones throughout the arrangement can enhance the look and create a rustic, natural feel. If you wish to forgo the traditional cornucopia centerpiece at Thanksgiving time, a swag embellished with artificial fruits and vegetables is an attractive alternative. Holiday swags are best made from dried or silk elements so that they can be stored for use from one year to the next. Swags make great gift ideas, and can be purchased prearranged. For a more personal touch, you may also hand select the desired flowers and greens and create your own arrangement.
